Coming from a background in fashion and design (having studied at East Sydney TAFE), and after the birth of my daughter years later, I was inspired to create something that I felt so passionate about.  

After years of researching the market-place, I came to the realisation that it was difficult to find quality, original, and handcrafted soft soled leather baby shoes. Most styles were made in China and lacked the sophistication, quality and uniqueness that I felt was so essential when developing this type of product.  

For these reasons, I set out to design a beautiful range of shoes that would create excitement in the world of baby fashion. It was also my keen desire to provide all the mothers, who have an obsession with shoes (like me!), the opportunity to select from an exquisite range of styles for boys and girls in a range of colours and textures.

So I designed a range of original baby shoes (which are now registered), and I took them to a Sydney based shoemaker, whose business has been handcrafting quality shoes for over 100 years. I was blessed when they agreed to exclusively handcraft my shoes too!

One thing you will discover, that sets Czarque shoes apart from other labels, is the way I have incorporated my love of texture into my designs. This love of texture stems from my unconventional childhood spent in remote villages in Papua New Guinea, where there are so many amazing textures in nature.
